Room to Thrive Strategy

Since March 2018, the Room to Thrive project has been working with people and organisations in Huntly to develop a strategy that, when implemented, will aid all areas of life and activity in the town to thrive. The project was instigated by Huntly Town Team, a forum of local groups brought together to work together at identifying how best to address issues in the town, with full funding provided by the South Aberdeenshire LEADER Local Action Group and has been delivered by icecream architecture and CLES (Centre for Local Economic Strategies).

The project has engaged with people in the Huntly and District area through a process which started with setting a baseline of life in the town today, setting community priorities for action, and collecting a bank of ideas that could be kick-started.

All this work has been brought together into a comprehensive strategy that addresses the five key community priorities.
