The first Saturday in September is when Huntly really comes alive with a variety of fun and activites. There is the 'Hairst' festival celebrating rural life together, around 1,000 competitors of all ages taking on a range of different Room to Run distances, an extended version of Huntly's Farmers Market, the World Stovie's Championship, the Brian Nisbet Poetry Award... and a whole lot more.
This first Saturday (the 7th) of September 2019, from 10am to 4pm there will be a presentation from 'Huntly: A campus for learning and play' showing the results of workshops held earlier in the year to create a development plan for a connected network of high-quality learning and leisure facilities based around The Square, current schools, Castle and Meadows.
The project team will be on-hand to answer questions and collecting feedback on what the priority projects are.
You'll find the presentation within Number 30, The Square (formerly Cruickshanks shop), and it will also be shared on this website online from Saturday.
